AISI H21 tool Steel is a high quality Hot work tool steel, It belong to the high quality high carbon alloy tool steel.

Oil Quenched & Tempered Hardness is 40-55 HRC. AISI H21 steel Annealing delivery hardness less than 250HB.

Applications:

H21 Hot work steels are Suitable for the manufacture of complex shapes, impact load, the working temperature is not too high, mold sheet product is suitable for forging press mold, concave and convex die, die casting, hot metal cutting knife, etc. the mass production with aluminum alloy die-casting mould.

H21 Steel Annealing

Heat to 885°C, then cool in heat treatment at about 4°C per hour. After annealing Hardness 235 HBS Max.

H21 tool Steel Hardening

Quenching of H21 Steel material

Quenching temperature / ℃ | salt bath furnace: 1177

Quenching temperature / ℃ | controlled atmosphere furnace: 1191

The heat preservation time/min: 5 ~ 15

Quenching medium: air cooling

Tempering Of H21 Steel

Tempering temperature / ℃ : 552

After tempering hardness HRC or higher: 52
